Gaza (Gaza) or the Gaza Strip is a narrow strip of land in the Middle East, located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a part of Palestine and has long been the focus of conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Location: The Gaza Strip is located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and borders Israel and Egypt.

Government: Hamas (a Palestinian political party and military group) has effectively ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007.

Political Context: 

Palestinian-Israeli conflict: The Gaza Strip is an important area of conflict between Israel and Palestine . Although Israel withdrew its troops and settlements from Gaza in 2005, Gaza borders and airspace remain de facto controlled by Israel and Egypt.

Hamas rule: After Hamas won the 2006 elections, there was a split between the Palestinian Authority in Gaza and the West Bank. Then in 2007, Hamas took control of Gaza.

Blockade: Israel and Egypt have imposed a blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007. As a result, residents of Gaza are suffering from economic crisis, food and health care shortages.
