Home remedies to get rid of cockroaches

The most effective way to get rid of cockroaches at home is to mix boric powder or borax with sugar.

Mixture of borax and sugar: Mix 3 parts borax or boric powder with 1 part sugar. Spread it in the area where cockroaches move around in the kitchen or under the sink before going to bed at night. The sugar will attract cockroaches and the borax will kill them.

Baking soda and sugar: Mix equal amounts of baking soda and powdered sugar in a small bowl and place it in a corner. Cockroaches, tempted by the sugar, eat it and die.

Bay leaf smell: Crush or crush bay leaves and place them in the back of cupboards, drawers or refrigerators. Cockroaches cannot tolerate the strong smell of bay leaves and run away.
