Are coriander leaves rotting even after being stored in the refrigerator? Use these tips

There are several ways to store coriander in the refrigerator:

1. Storing in a jar with water (for a week):

First, cut off the bottom of the coriander leaves slightly.

Fill a glass jar about 3/4 full of water.

Place the coriander leaves in the jar.

Cover the top of the jar with a plastic bag and a rubber band.

Then store it in the refrigerator.

2. Storing in a Ziploc bag (cut or whole):

Cut off the base of the coriander leaves and dry them by squeezing out excess water.

Place them in a Ziploc bag and squeeze out the air.

Store the bag in the refrigerator.

3. Storing in the deep freezer (for a long time):

Wash the coriander leaves thoroughly, drain the water, and dry them.

Place them in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and store them in the deep freezer.

Storage time:

Whole coriander leaves will keep for 1-2 weeks if stored properly, but will taste best if used within 7-10 days.

Chopped coriander leaves will keep for 2-3 days.

Important tips:

Cover coriander leaves with plastic wrap to protect them from the cold air of the refrigerator.

Draining excess water will help prevent the leaves from spoiling quickly.

You can follow a few methods to keep coriander leaves fresh in the refrigerator:

(1) Dry the coriander leaves well, wrap them in paper towels or brown paper, put them in a ziplock bag, and store them in the refrigerator.

(2) Clean the coriander leaves, fill a jar with water, cover them with plastic, and store them in the refrigerator.

(3) If the leaves are wet, drain the excess water, wrap them in paper napkins or towels, and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Method 1: Store in paper wrap

Dry the coriander leaves well. If there is excess moisture, they can rot.

Wrap the dried coriander leaves in a paper towel or brown paper.

Now put the wrapped leaves in a ziplock bag, remove excess air, and store them in the refrigerator.

Method 2: Store in a jar with water

After buying coriander leaves from the market, select and discard the rotten leaves and roots.

Place the coriander leaves in a jar with a little water.

Now cover the entire jar with a plastic bag and keep it in the refrigerator.

Change the water every 1-2 days.

Method 3: Protect from moisture and air

If you want to store the coriander leaves after washing them, drain the water well.

Wrap the coriander leaves in a paper napkin or towel and store them in an air-tight box in the refrigerator.

This is an effective way to protect them from moisture.
