The first is the artificial colors and dyes used in the fruits to enhance the taste. Along with that, sugar syrup is used to enhance the sweet taste. On the other hand, the second reason is that the fruits are grown in areas contaminated with harmful bacteria in the soil.

The reason behind this may be that fruit sellers use toxic food colors like erythrosine to make a profit. Usually, they get their natural red color from the beneficial antioxidant lycopene. However, red-pink colors are used to make them attractive. They try to attract buyers by showing the fruits as fresh and juicy. These colors may contain harmful chemicals like lead or methanol. This results in symptoms like fever, diarrhea, vomiting and cramps or pain. It can also cause food poisoning, digestive problems and even cancer.

In addition, if the problem is caused by bacteria in the soil, it can become more serious. Such fruits have a much more harmful effect on pregnant mothers and young children. Apart from other common problems, incidents like miscarriage can also occur if such fruits are eaten. Therefore, fruits brought from outside cannot be eaten directly. To ensure the good health of yourself and your family, you should try to decontaminate the fruits.

You can use vinegar solution for protection. Take a certain amount of vinegar in a bowl and make a mixture using 3 times its water. Use this water to wash the fruits. Although it is not possible to destroy all the germs inside the fruit.

In addition, sanitize the container, cutting board, and knife before and after cutting the fruit to remove germs. You can keep the cut fruits in the refrigerator to slow down the growth of bacteria. Avoid eating stale and damaged fruits.
