The right rules for eating fish:

  1. Eat fish 2-3 times a week - especially fish with omega-3 fatty acids such as hilsa, rui, salmon, tuna, etc.
  2. Eat less fried fish - Eating fried, boiled or baked fish is healthier.
  3. Cook it well - Fish can be infected with bacteria or parasites if not cooked well.
  4. Eat fresh fish - Avoid stale or smelly fish.
  5. Eat more small fish - Small fish such as mala, puti, kachki - these are rich in calcium and minerals and are easily digested.
  6. Eat in moderation - Eating too much fish can lead to excess protein and mercury.
  7. Warning for pregnant women and children - Pregnant women should avoid fish with high mercury content (such as swordfish, king mackerel).
