Causes of Bleeding Gums

Causes of Bleeding Gums

One of the causes of bleeding gums is not brushing teeth regularly. Food particles stuck to teeth harden into calculus after a few hours. This calculus is the cause of inflammation and bleeding from the gums. Bleeding is caused by the friction of the calculus with the gums. This is called gingivitis. When gingivitis progresses and becomes more pronounced, it is called periodontitis. In this condition, the tooth gradually moves away from the gum and starts moving.

Many people experience problems such as bleeding from the gums and pain in the gums when they eat something. These symptoms can occur if the dental health is not good.

Other causes of bleeding gums include:

bleeding disorders

Brushing teeth vigorously

Hormonal changes

Improper flossing

Tooth or gum infection

Scurvy, vitamin C deficiency

What to do if your gums bleed:

Sit the patient down and place a clean pad on the gums. But do not enter the bleeding hole. Do not consume any hot drinks within 21 hours.
